Tempo Paint & Varnish sold to Allcolour Paint Limited
The Company
Tempo Paint was a specialized paint manufacturer located in Toronto which had established a market niche in the aerospace industry with its ability to manufacture paint which could withstand high altitude temperatures. Sales were stable but the manufacturing facility needed to be updated.
The Divestiture
The was an estate sale. The trust organization managing the owner’s estate retained our company to facilitate the divestiture. Two members of the management group expressed an interest in buying the company. It soon became apparent that they did not have the funds to complete the transaction.
The Results
We built the Information Package around the company’s core competencies in the aerospace industry and the underutilized manufacturing facility. Four solid offers were received. The business was sold to a well – established paint manufacturer in Oakville.
