The Company

Rideau Lakes Houseboat Vacations was a privately held houseboat rental company near Perth Ontario which had been operating a successful seasonal business for many years.

The Divestiture

The company was owned by a group of investors who were phasing into retirement and therefore looking to sell the business. Revenue was small but the company had meaningful transferable assets including an extensive list of loyal and repeat customers.

The Results

After assessing the market, we found a nearby competitor with a highly underutilized marina. The synergies upon consolidations of the two companies were therefore significant. The business was sold in a matter of a few months.
